I work at Leverage Research.

Due to limited space, I can't accommodate every request I get to host people at Leverage, but often I can make it work. We find that it's good to start with a skype call to see if the person will be a good fit and will benefit from staying here, and if so we can host people for a few days if we have an extra bed at that point.

I have been involved in two startups -- a news website, and a medical research company, one of which succeeded and one of which did not. If you are starting a business, I'm happy to offer any advice that is derivable from my experiences. I'm not an expert, but even just those two cases demonstrated some noteworthy patterns.

I have been at Leverage for about two years, and can answer any questions you have about what it's like to work here. I do a lot of recruiting too, so if you are interested in the possibility of working with Leverage, I can help with that.

I've been involved with Leverage, and previously was involved with MIRI, for a few years now, and have accumulated a long list of strategic considerations that I take into account in my EA-related planning. I'm happy to discuss with those who are considering the various paths in EA and suggest arguments for why one route might be better than another depending on your values.
